This page contains previous exams that I have given in Distributed Systems classes of yore. Some material has changed over time, so if you see a question that looks like it’s for a topic we have not covered, skip it.
About exams
If the exam contains any essay questions, keep your answers short but accurate (just a few sentances or a very short paragraph, as necessary). I will not have the patience to read long essays and you may end up losing points even if you have some of the right information. Conversely, make sure that your answers are precise and accurate: they should address the question as if someone asked it of you in casual conversation rather than provide irrelevant details.
